Everyone loves frogs. Some like them as pets, some like to eat their legs, I like to shoot them – with a camera. We recently visited our local botanical garden, Tower Hill, with the goal of shooting close up shots (macro photography). Most of what I took was blah. There was a flower or two that looked nice. But nothing was grabbing me until…. I spotted this little guy who was just hanging out next to a lily-pad – just waiting for me. He was obviously enjoying the sun on his back.  I creeped up very close and waited for the sun to illuminate his eye. After a couple of moments, snap.

Notice how sharp the eye is - it is critical that the eye is in focus.

Remember, it’s all about the light – this time on the eye.
