Sometimes waiting a few moments to get “the shot” is not worth it.  But, sometimes it makes all the difference.  Nothing exhibits this more than our sunset shoot at Cathedral Gorge in Panaca, NV.  Don’t bother to look up Pananca. It is a small town and as remote as you can get.  The town’s highlight is a mud race held every May, but it does have a very interesting rock formation called Cathedral Gorge.

We traveled many hours down a lonesome road through the Nevada desert to see this gorge. Was it worth it?  I’ll let you be the judge.  Here are a couple of shots, one just before the sun fully set and one just after.  These pictures were shot within a minute of each other.  Simply amazing.

Enjoy these shots of the day.
