Our love for our hobby continues to increase and with it the desire to make it more than just a hobby. Not only do we strive for better and better quality photos, but also to build our visibility and our credibility.
Our blog and regular postings on our photography adventures is one way of increasing our visibility by sharing our excitement and select photos from a shoot.
Entering photography contests is a way to increase our credibility by potentially having a third party recognize something special in our images.
Of course to have a chance at winning, one must take time to find, enter and submit one or more photos to the appropriate contest.
This past week we were notified that a photo of ours took second place in the 2013 Bandelier National Monument Annual Pass Photo Contest.
One just never knows how others may view your photos…
Congrats to Sweet Light Photos!
I really love this photo because you’ve taken the view looking out from a cave/opening in rocks! I’m a friend of Barbara’s so she sent me your link; she knows my husband and I would enjoy your photos as we travel and do lots of photography too. In 2012, we were at Bandelier and you’ve captured its essence in this one photo. Congrats on the award!
