At Inle Lake, surrounded by water, what could be more romantic than an evening paddle at sunset?
Now imagine a simple boat, a long, narrow shell of wood with one oar to steer and paddle.

The local fisherman make it look eases they paddle the oar with their foot while balancing a net

They can even balance a lantern while paddling
So we headed to our boat in the soft light. If you know Jeff, he is gifted in many areas, but balance it not one of them. So putting him in a small rickety boat was a recipe for disaster. Thank goodness, he didn’t have his camera with him (or his wife).
So out of adversity, comes opportunity. The light was good, so we shot it.

The remains of a romantic evening
And once again, it’s about the light (and staying dry too!).
