Yes, we are here to shoot the wildlife and there is so much here in the Maasai Mara, that on every game drive we find different species to photograph. But that only captures one aspect of the Safari. It’s a good thing that each time we are out, I fall back into what is comfortable, and that is “Landscape Photography”. This enables me to capture another aspect of our experience.

The iconic umbrella tree
Today, after the iconic shot of a sunrise with the umbrella tree, we headed towards a different plain. It is aptly named, “Paradise Plain.” As far as the eye can see, the green grasses of the Massai Mara glows gold in the morning light and the iconic umbrella tress dot the landscape. Wouldn’t you agree it is breathtaking?
